7:00 PM Eastern
Loyola Maryland vs. Bucknell
Despite 7-foot center Noah Williamson providing Bucknell with versatility, the team ranks just 302nd in the country in the percentage of missed shots that result in an offensive rebound. Additionally, they are 318th in turnovers per possession on offense when away from home and 320th in opponent three-point shooting percentage away from home at 37.6%.
Pick: Loyola Maryland +2.5 (Greg’s Handicap: Loyola Maryland -2.5)
South Florida vs. Temple
Temple played its last game against UAB on Sunday without leading scorer Jamal Mashburn Jr. and fellow starter Quante Berry. Their statuses for this game are uncertain, and even if they play, they may not be at full strength. Meanwhile, South Florida has struggled offensively all season, ranking 222nd in the country in points per possession and 270th in three-point shooting percentage.
Pick: Under 153.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 146.5)
USC Upstate vs. High Point
USC Upstate ranks 297th in the nation in points per possession on offense. While High Point has one of the most efficient offenses in the country, ranking 21st in points per possession at home, they play at a slow pace (255th in total possessions per game). Additionally, USC Upstate ranks 323rd in offensive rebound percentage, limiting second-chance scoring opportunities.
Pick: Under 164 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 157.5)
8:00 PM Eastern
South Dakota vs. North Dakota State
North Dakota State ranks fifth in the country in overall points per possession on offense, but this ranking drops to 32nd at home, where they score fewer points per possession and play at a controlled pace (276th in possessions per game). Meanwhile, South Dakota ranks 294th in overall three-point shooting, making just 29.9% of their three-point shots away from home.
Pick: Under 170 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 167.5)
Belmont vs. Missouri State
Missouri State ranks 34th in home three-point shooting percentage at 39.1%, while Belmont struggles defensively, ranking 315th in opponent three-point shooting percentage at 36.3% and 313th in overall points per possession allowed. However, Belmont has a strong offense, ranking 14th in points per possession away from home. Missouri State’s defense is also weak, ranking 288th in opponent three-point shooting percentage.
Pick: Over 146.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 153.5)
8:30 PM Eastern
South Alabama vs. Southern Mississippi
When Andre Curbelo has not been on the court for Southern Mississippi, their pace and scoring have significantly decreased. With Curbelo now dismissed from the team, a Southern Mississippi squad that ranks 322nd in turnovers per possession and 335th in points per possession figures to struggle against a South Alabama defense that ranks ninth in the country in turnovers forced per possession away from home.
Pick: Under 140.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 132)
Villanova vs. Seton Hall
While both teams rank outside the top 315 in total possessions per game, their defenses are vulnerable, with Seton Hall ranking 190th in points per possession allowed and Villanova ranking 180th. Villanova is also an elite shooting team, ranking second in the country in three-point shooting percentage (40.3%) and 23rd in points per possession.
Pick: Over 130.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 136.5)
9:00 PM Eastern
Bradley vs. Valparaiso
Bradley leads the nation in three-point shooting percentage (41.1%), but they rank just 330th in offensive rebound percentage away from home, securing only 21% of their missed shots. Additionally, Bradley plays at a slow pace, ranking 227th in total possessions per game, while Valparaiso struggles from deep, ranking 302nd in three-point shooting percentage.
Pick: Under 150 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 138.5)
Kentucky vs. Oklahoma
Kentucky is dealing with injuries to three guards who contribute to offensive facilitation. Oklahoma, ranked 46th in points per possession on offense, generates 15.6 more points per 100 possessions at home than on the road. Meanwhile, Kentucky’s Koby Brea shoots 52.6% from three-point range at home but just 31.7% away from home. Overall, Kentucky scores 17.5 fewer points per 100 possessions away from home than at home.
Pick: Oklahoma +3 (Greg’s Handicap: Oklahoma -2)
10:30 PM Eastern
Boise State vs. Utah State
Boise State ranks just 267th in three-point shooting percentage and 290th in total possessions per game. Both teams have strong defenses, with Utah State ranking 43rd in points per possession allowed away from home and Boise State ranking 10th in points per possession allowed at home.
Pick: Under 150.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 146)
11:00 PM Eastern
SMU vs. California
California has one of the worst home three-point defenses, allowing opponents to make 37.4% of their three-point shots (349th in the country). Additionally, they rank 266th in points per possession allowed. SMU, meanwhile, is tied with Drake for the best road rebound percentage in the country and ranks ninth in points per possession away from home.
Pick: SMU -2.5 (Greg’s Handicap: SMU -8.5)
San Francisco vs. Oregon State
San Francisco ranks 29th in the country in points per possession allowed on defense and second in opponent three-point shooting percentage (27.3%). Oregon State, ranked 135th overall, performs much better at home, improving to 75th in defensive efficiency and allowing 16.1 fewer points per 100 possessions at home compared to on the road.
Pick: Under 142.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 138.5)
