South Alabama Jaguars at Alabama Crimson Tide (-23.5, 149)
South Alabama’s team looks much different than a season ago. Just two players that averaged at least one point per game returned, but the roster features plenty of transfers that know the SEC.
Jay Jay Chandler is coming off of averaging 8.2 points per game at Texas A&M last season and is joined in the backcourt by LSU transfer Charles Manning Jr., who averaged seven points per game the past two seasons. South Alabama also added Auburn transfer Javon Franklin, who is averaging 15 points and 10.5 rebounds per game this season.
Alabama has scored a total of 197 points in their first two games of the season, but is also 303rd in opponent 2-point shooting percentage. South Alabama has held opponents to 8-of-41 on 3-point shots in their first two games this season.
South Alabama gave Wichita State all they could handle in their opener against a Division I opponent and will improve upon the impressive mark of 30-14-1 ATS as an underdog since coach Richie Riley took over the program.
