(stats as of Friday morning)

LSU has turned over a new leaf, ranking first in the country in points allowed on a per-possession basis and also rank fourth in the country in 3-point shooting defense on the road, with opponents making just 25.1 percent of their 3-point shots.

The Tigers offense has scuffled recently, averaging 63 points per game in their three most recent games, all of which have been without starting point guard Xavier Pinson.

Neither team has shot well from distance, as Tennessee is making just 29.9 percent of their 3-point shots in SEC play, while LSU is making 32.8% of their 3-pointers overall, but are making just 25.9 percent of their 3’s in road games.

With both teams outside the top 90 in points scored on a per-possession basis, defense will take center stage in Tennessee on Saturday.
