LIV Adelaide
The 2024 LIV Golf circuit returns to action this weekend, three weeks after Miami and two weeks removed from the Masters. Dean Burmester is coming off his first LIV victory after outlasting Sergio Garcia on the second playoff hole.
After a big year at Augusta National in 2023, 2024 was a disappointing showing for the LIV players by comparison. Bryson DeChambeau and Cameron Smith finished T-6 and Tyrrell Hatton finished T-9, but only DeChambeau was a contender for most of the event.
This week, LIV heads to southern Australia for its event in Adelaide.
As he has been for every LIV event in 2024, Jon Rahm (6-1) is the favorite and still seeks his first victory.
Joaquin Niemann (10-1) is the early player of the year on the LIV circuit with two victories (Mayakoba and Jeddah) in the first five events. DeChambeau and Smith, an Australian, share the 10-1 price tag.
Next on the odds board is Hatton (12-1) and Talor Gooch (14-1), last year’s winner in Adelaide.
The Course
LIV Golf Adelaide will utilize Grange’s East and West courses to create a composite par-72 layout that measures 6,946 yards.
Holes 9-10 and 12-18 of the East course, redesigned by LIV Golf CEO and Commissioner Greg Norman in 2012, will provide hole Nos. 1-9 for the composite course. The back nine of the West course, redesigned by former Australian pro Mike Clayton, will provide hole Nos. 10-18 for the composite course.
