Monday Betting Recaps

After a busy weekend, Monday was a relatively slow sports betting day with no WNBA (though there were 5 NBA Summer League matchups for those into wagering on those games) and just 10 MLB games on the schedule.

For our purposes here, we’re really just tracking the MLB trends this time of year, so let’s get to the nightly recaps and update the season-long betting stats.

MLB: Favorites went 6-4 on Monday with the biggest upsets by the Astros (+126 in 12-11 slugfest win at the Rangers after squandering an 8-run lead) and the Mariners (+120 in 6-5 win at the Giants). Home teams also went 6-4 on the day. Overs led 7-3.

More MLB: On the season, faves lead 720-529 with 21 games closing pick-’em. Home teams’ lead has been dipping lately but still lead 660-606 with 4 neutral-site games. Overs have taken 609-608-52 lead with 1 no-action.
