Tuesday Betting Recaps

Tuesday was another relatively slow day in the sportsbooks like we usually get in July during the MLB All-Star Break.

Top MLB Resources:

There were some NBA Summer League games (favorites/underdogs split 3-3 SU with dogs leading 4-2 ATS) and a couple of WNBA games (faves went 2-0 SU and ATS), but the main betting event was still the MLB All-Star Game. Let’s stick to that with our regular nightly ATS Report, which will take Wednesday and Thursday off and then return on Friday night when the regular season resumes (note: we’ll also include the updated season betting stats below). Also, for those who follow our daily “Tuley’s Takes” Best Bet columns, those are also taking a few days off after 357 straight days and will resume Thursday night/Friday morning.

MLB All-Star Game: National League rallied to beat the American League 3-2 in Seattle on Tuesday night for the senior circuit’s first win in the summer classic since 2012, thanks to a 2-run home run by Colorado catcher Elias Diaz in the top of the 8th inning. The ViewFromVegas is the NL closed as a -120 road favorite (the game stayed Under the betting total of 7.5 runs). Elias was around 14-1 to hit a home run and 90-1 to win MVP.

More MLB (ICYMI): At the All-Star Break, favorites lead 771-553 on the season with 22 games closing pick-’em. Home teams lead 696-646 with 4 neutral-site games. Unders improved their slim lead to 649-638-58 with 1 no-action (thanks to 9-3-1 on Thursday and 9-4-1 Sunday after being exactly .500 after Wednesday’s games).
