Normally, Adam Burke will have daily best bets to give you some ideas of what to back when it comes to moneylines, run lines and totals, while I focus on feeding you all player props. However, Adam is off on Sundays, so I’m tackling everything before we get back to our regularly scheduled programming tomorrow. Keep reading to find out how I’m betting three of the games on the MLB schedule for Sunday, April 30th.

Here are our favorite MLB prop bets for Sunday, April 30:

Cleveland Guardians at Boston Red Sox (-130, 8.5)

Logan Allen will be making his second career start for the Guardians today, and he looked awesome in his MLB debut. The lefty pitched 6.0 innings of one-run ball and struck out eight batters in a 7-4 win over the Miami Marlins. Now, the southpaw will look to go out and handle his business at Fenway Park. This matchup is a lot tougher for Allen than the first one was, but he should be able to flirt with a quality start here. And if he can do that, the Guardians really should win this game. Chris Sale has just been a disaster for Boston this season, and he looks like a guy that we should be fading somewhat regularly over the next couple of weeks. Sale has given up at least five earned runs in three of his five starts this season, and his control has been all over the place. His last start was especially concerning, as he gave up nine hits and didn’t strike out a single batter in a loss to the Baltimore Orioles. If Sale isn’t missing bats, he’s essentially worthless out there.

Bet: Braves ML (-130)

New York Yankees (-125, 8) at Texas Rangers

The Yankees have lost two games in a row and will be hoping to earn a series split against the Rangers on Sunday. Fortunately for New York, it’s Nestor Cortes that will be on the mound for this one. Cortes is 3-1 with a 3.49 ERA to start the season, but it still feels like the best is yet to come from the lefty. Perhaps we’ll see him pitch a gem today against the Rangers. Last year, Cortes struck out 11 batters in 7.1 shutout innings in his only start against Texas. And the Rangers have struggled a bit against lefties already in 2023. They’re just 22nd in MLB in wRC against southpaws, so he should be able to pitch well here. New York also has a better bullpen, which should come into play in a meeting between two good starting pitchers. This should be a close game, but the Yankees are the more motivated side and their pitching edge later in the game can’t be ignored.

Bet: Yankees ML (-125)

Arizona Diamondbacks (-125, 12) at Colorado Rockies

It isn’t often that you get a player with a total bases prop of 2.5, but it makes a lot of sense with Ketel Marte on Sunday. This game has an absurdly high total of 12, so there should be a lot of runs scored at Coors Field in this one. And if that’s the case, Marte is likely going to be one of the guys doing some damage for Arizona. This season, Marte is only hitting .258 with three homers, seven doubles and eight RBIs. But the 29-year-old has always hit lefties really hard, with the right side of the plate being his stronger one. And now he gets a golden matchup against Austin Gomber, who is a miserable 1-4 with a 9.28 ERA this season. Marte is 6 for 11 with two doubles, two homers and five RBIs against Gomber. He’s going to be excited to see him on the mound here, and he should come through with a couple of hits — or even a home run — in this game.

Bet: Marte Over 2.5 Total Bases (+130)
