MLB Best Bets and Props:
We are back for another glorious Saturday of MLB baseball as we enter the dog days of summer. There are 15 games on the schedule, with the first pitch scheduled at 1:05 PM ET between the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees. This affords us plenty of options for MLB props and best bets.
Below are two of my favorite betting lines to target on Saturday, August 3rd. So let’s lock them in and have a great weekend, folks!

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Houston Astros
7:15 pm ET
Ronel Blanco has an excellent matchup on Saturday against a Tampa Bay roster that was made significantly worse at the trade deadline when they moved superstar Randy Arozarena, All-Star Issac Paredes, and infielder Amed Rosario.
The Rays are batting just .225 this season versus right-handed pitching while posting a mere .211 average over the last 30 days with a 24.6% strikeout rate.
Blanco has only conceded a .175 batting average to opposing hitters in 2024, which ranks in the 99th percentile in MLB.
Tampa’s righty has gone Under 4.5 hits in eight of his 11 outings at home, and this is another great spot to invest in that same outcome.
MLB Best Bet: Ronel Blanco Under 4.5 Hits (-125)
*Would take Under 4.5 H up to -135
Miami Marlins vs. Atlanta Braves
7:20 pm ET
The Atlanta Braves have posted a 25.9% strikeout rate over the last month, a 13.8% swinging strike rate, and a 29.5% chase rate.
This makes them a prime candidate to chase K props against, and Saturday is no different when Kyle Tyler takes the hill for Miami.
The 27-year-old has been Over 3.5 strikeouts in three of his five starts at the major league level this season, but with a modest 18.5% punch-out rate. But that does not concern me given the low bar we need to clear.
Atlanta has allowed each of the last 10 right-handed starting pitchers to eclipse 3.5 K against them and 14 of the last 15.
Long story short, Tyler may have below-average strikeout potential, but this line should probably be 4.5.
MLB Best Bet: Kyle Tyler Over 3.5 K (-135)
*Would take Over 3.5 K up to -150
