MLB Best Bets and Props
The Sunday MLB schedule is my favorite of the week because almost every team plays a day game. However, it can be a tricky day for MLB best bets and props due to getaway days and players receiving the afternoon off. So be sure to double-check lineups.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Detroit Tigers

Yusei Kikuchi is in prime position for a quality outing on Sunday when he takes on the Detroit Tigers on the road.
Since May 1, Detroit has posted an embarrassing 56 wRC+ versus southpaws with a .196 batting average against. This makes Kikuchi’s u5.5 hits prop an attractive option at plus-money.
In addition, we are going to go a step further and double down with the left-hander’s o4.5 strikeout prop as well.
Cole Ragans recently abused this Tigers lineup for 12 strikeouts, and while I do not hold Kikuchi in quite as high regard, 4.5 K is a disrespectful line given the circumstances versus another lefty.
Kikuchi has hit Over 4.5 K in 10 of his last 12 starts on the road, averaging 6.6 strikeouts per game during that stretch.

Atlanta Braves vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

I typically do not like to chase strikeout lines at 7.5 or higher because there are so many variables that can go wrong.
That said, I am going to make an exception on Sunday when Chris Sale takes on the Pirates.
Pittsburgh carries a 25.1% strikeout rate versus southpaws this season and have posted a 15.1% swinging strike rate and 30% chase rate in the past two weeks.
Sale boasts an impressive 31.7% punchout rate and has collected 37 strikeouts over his last four starts alone. In addition, Sale tosses his slider 40.7% of the time, which is terrible news for a Pirates team that struggles terribly against the offering.
