Padres starter Ryan Weathers enters having allowed at least three runs in each of his past five starts with a 5.09 ERA and fielding independent on 5.18 with 5.9 strikeouts and 3.8 walks per nine innings. Rockies starter Kyle Freeland faces a Padres lineup that entered the series last in the National League in batting average while he has allowed two runs or fewer in five of his last seven starts. He owns a 3.38 ERA at Coors Field this season.
Royals vs. Orioles Total 9. Greg’s Total 9.8.
Royals starter Brady Singer has struggled mightily this season with a 6.45 ERA and has allowed at least four runs in seven of his last 11 starts. The Royals back him up with the league’s second-worst bullpen ERA. Orioles starter Cole Irvin is making his second pitching appearance since April 13, allowing 15 runs in 13 innings this season.
Red Sox vs. Yankees (-125). Greg’s Line: Yankees -157.
Though the Yankees are without Aaron Judge, they still have a better team batting average without him than the Red Sox’s road .228 average entering the series. Yankees starter Domingo German has allowed two runs or fewer in five of his last six starts and is backed up by a bullpen that owns the best ERA in the league.
