Philadelphia Phillies vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction:
A battle of division leaders begins on Monday when the Milwaukee Brewers host the Philadelphia Phillies.
Ranger Suarez gets the start for Philadelphia. Suarez has given up four runs in two of his past three starts. For the season, he owns a 3.05 ERA with 8.7 strikeouts to 2.1 walks per nine innings for a 3.09 fielding independent.

Since the start of the 2023 season, Suarez has been far better on the road than at home, posting a 4.50 ERA with over one home run and three walks per nine innings in Philadelphia, compared to a 2.60 ERA with 0.6 home runs and 2.5 walks per nine innings allowed on the road.
The Phillies support Suarez with a bullpen that is 13th with a 3.84 ERA. The Brewers 3.14 ERA is third in the league, but Aaron Civale enters Monday’s showdown as a question mark.
Civale gets the start for Milwaukee. He has a 4.57 ERA this season with 1.6 home runs and 2.9 walks per nine innings allowed, but he has allowed three runs or fewer in each of his past five starts.
Both offenses have been explosive. The Brewers are third in the National League with just over 4.8 runs per game, while the Phillies are second in the National League with just under 4.9 runs per game.
While the Brewers have a bullpen edge, Suarez has been one of the most solid pitchers on the road in baseball the past two seasons. He will help the Phillies pick up a much-needed win in the quest to finish the season with the best record in baseball.
