Monday Best Bet Results
Memorial Day was very memorable in the Tuley’s Take home office (relocated for the past week on Oahu) as we took the family to Wet N Wild Hawaii and went 3-0 with our Best Bets in this daily column.
We started with the Twins First 5 +100 as they led 4-1 after 5 innings with Sonny Gray holding down the Astros as we predicted and going on to win 7-5 in 10 innings for those who like to bet our plays on the full-game money line.

We Tweeted out that win at Wet N Wild while waiting for the NBA and NHL playoff games to begin (2 and 2:30 p.m. Hawaii Time) after watching the Disney movie “Moana” in the wave pool (singing along with The Rock: “so what can I say except you’re welcome.”).
The day got even better as we easily won with the Heat +8 in their 103-84 rout of the Celtics in their Game 7 of the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals and the Golden Knights +110 won even easier, jumping out to a 6-0 lead on the Stars and then coasting to a 6-0 victory in the NHL Western Conference clincher.
After going a disappointing 0-2 on Sunday, this improved our record in May back to 39-27-7 (59.1%) – even more impressive when you consider that many of those wins have been underdogs – and the plus-money has us showing a net profit of $1,465.55 based on $100 flat bets, according to the VSiN Pro Picks page.
Let’s look for more Best Bets on Tuesday with the NBA and NHL taking a few days off as we have two (hopefully) live MLB dogs.
MLB Tuesday Best Bets
A’s First 5 Innings +190 vs. Braves: Even though you know I love underdogs (even ugly ones), I’ve been able to resist playing the woeful Oakland A’s except on all but the rarest occasions – remember, the “pass” is a huge part of the “dog-or-pass” philosophy. However, the A’s are in a big “swagger” spot after snapping an 11-game losing streak on Sunday with a resounding 7-2 win. We’ll take them Tuesday to continue that momentum in the first 5 innings even though we don’t have the best pitching matchup with J.P. Sears (0-3, 4.70 ERA) vs. Bryce Elder (3-0, 2.01 ERA). We didn’t see a +0.5 F5 price overnight, but I’ll probably look to play that as well, though we had a similar situation the other day and it paid off to have more on the straight money line.
Angels First 5 +125 at White Sox: We also like the price we’re getting on the Angels (29-26) vs. the White Sox (22-34) with Tyler Anderson (2-0, 4.81 ERA) vs. Lucas Giolito (3-4, 3.98 ERA). We’ll be content to make an overall profit on the day with a split on these plus-money dogs, though obviously for a sweep like Monday.
