Stanley Cup Final: Player Prop Bets for Game 3
The Golden Knights jumped out to a 4-0 lead midway through Game 2, which wasn’t a good thing for a two of my three player (shots on goal) props, as Vegas didn’t have a lot of incentive to get pucks to the nets in the latter half of the game. But, with the series shifting to Sunrise, Game 3 should be more closely contested than either of the first two games and I’m hoping score effects don’t work against me this time.

Mark Stone Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (+115) at BetRivers Sportsbook
Mark Stone has been all around the net in the Stanley Cup Final. The 31-year-old leads the Golden Knights with seven high danger shot attempts, according to Natural Stat Trick, and 1.5 expected goals, according to Evolving Hockey. He’s hit the net 10 times on 11 attempts through two games and he leads all Vegas forwards in ice time in versus Florida and he’s gone over two and a half shots on goal in four straight games. The Panthers have home ice advantage in Game 3, and I’m expecting a more tightly contested game, but Stone and the Golden Knights have been strong on the road this season and a good another good shooting performance should also be expected from the Vegas captain.
Alex Pietrangelo Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (+140) at DraftKings Sportsbook
Pietrangelo didn’t register a shot on goal in Game 2, but he did have five attempts and has hit the net 14 times on 30 attempts in his last five games. The defenseman leads the team in ice time. He plays big minutes at five-on-five and gets quite a bit of time on the power play, too. Pietrangelo has attempted five or more shots in the playoffs in 11 out of 18 playoff games and if he continues to create opportunities, there’s a good chance that he will flirt with going over two and half shots on goal again. Shea Theodore is another player on my radar, as he has registered three or more shots in five of his last eight games, but he’s not generating as many shot attempts as Pietrangelo and, after a solid performance in Game 1, he had just one shot attempt in Game 2.
