Nitto ATP Finals tennis best bets: Tsitsipas vs. Rune, Sinner vs. Djokovic – Tuesday, November 14
There isn’t much time left in the 2023 tennis season, but the Nitto ATP Finals should help us go out with a bang. Eight of the ATP Tour’s top players are in Turin, Italy for this year-end event, including Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Holger Rune, Alexander Zverev and Andrey Rublev. The players are split into two groups of four, and there will be round-robin play amongst the two of them. The players with the two best records in each group will go to the semifinals, where they’ll then compete in a single-elimination format for the final big prize of the year. With that in mind, I’ll be providing you with daily tennis bets for the next week, and that continues with two plays on Tuesday, November 14.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs. Holger Rune
Tsitsipas didn’t play poorly in his loss to Jannik Sinner in his first match here, but it’s hard to say he looked as good as Rune did in his three-set loss to Djokovic. Rune has experienced some dark times over the past few months, but he has really dialed things up over the last couple of weeks. Now, Rune is looking like the borderline elite player he was to start the 2023 season. That makes it hard not to back him against Tsitsipas, even though it’s a little juicy. This is a matchup that Rune really likes, as he is 2-0 in his head-to-head series with Tsitsipas. And the most recent of those two victories happened to be in an indoor hardcourt event, which is exactly like this one. Tsitsipas definitely has the better serve between these two players, but Rune has the edge everywhere else. I also think Rune has an advantage between the ears, which is important at this time of year.
Bet: Rune ML (-170)
Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic
Djokovic has dominated Sinner in the past, as he is 4-0 in this head-to-head series. I know this tournament is being played in Italy, so Sinner will have some extra adrenaline from the home crowd. But Djokovic actually likes having the crowd against him. It seemingly brings out the very best in him, and I just don’t see him letting this match get away. Sinner has all the power in the world, but Djokovic is capable of redirecting that pace and just dominating the young Italian as far as point construction goes. He’s a much smarter player than Sinner, and he’s also a much better server. That should be crucial in a match like this, as Djokovic is also the best returner in the world. Sinner isn’t far away from having the game to beat Djokovic, but I don’t think it’s happening here.
Bet: Djokovic ML (-170 – 2 units)
